A Strike is a MeleeMelee Attacks are those that directly hit with a melee Strike or a Slam, dealing Melee damage. Melee attacks usually scale from Weapon or Unarmed damage.

Any Projectiles these attacks create do not count as Melee damage.
attack that directly hits with weapons or body parts. SlamSlams are Melee Attacks that cause damaging areas of effect, rather than Striking enemies with your weapon directly. Damage from Slams is still Melee damage. attacks do not count as Strikes.

Strike skills are melee skills which hit a single target or all enemies with a melee's swing radius. They are not the same as slam melee skills.

Combo

Combo is a counter that accumulates whenever you hit an enemy with a strike skill, and disappears after not gaining combo for a certain time period. Certain effects can expend combo.

Final Strike
