Stat Conversion
Tooltip
Converting stat A to stat B applies the base value of stat A to stat B instead. The converted stat scales with percentage modifiers to stat B, but not with percentage modifiers to stat A.

For example, if you converted your EvasionEvasion Rating grants a chance to Evade enemy Hits, preventing them from Hitting you at all. Exact chance to Evade also depends on the attacker's Accuracy. to Armour,Armour reduces Damage taken from Hits. By default, Armour only applies to Physical Damage.

Damage reduction from Armour is proportional to the amount of Damage, and is more effective at reducing smaller hits.

Stat conversion is a conversion mechanic that converts one base stat into another base stat. The converted stats are only affected by modifiers to their new stat, and are not scaled through their original stat.

Mechanics

Conversion can exist in two forms:

  • Regular conversion: e.g. #% of [stat] Converted to [stat]
  • Gain conversion: e.g. Gain #% of [stat] as Extra [stat]

The difference between these forms is the effect they have on the original stat: Regular conversion removes the converted portion of the original stat, while gain conversion leaves it intact. Both occur simultaneously.

Regular conversion

Stat conversion is calculated after combining any sources of base stats, but before any modifiers (e.g. increased or more evasion rating).

Converted stats do not get scaled by modifiers affecting the original stat; only the final stat is used for scaling. For example, if a percentage of evasion is converted to armour, the converted portion no longer scales with #% increased Evasion.

"Gain" conversion

Gain conversion adds a value based on the total base value of relevant stats, without modifying the base value. Like regular conversion, this process occurs before any increased or more modifiers.
