Distance in Path of Exile 2 is measured in metres.

Nearby

The term nearby is used in the descriptions of many skill effects, passive skills, and item modifiers. "Nearby" is not a keyword; it merely indicates that an effect applies in a circular area, usually with its radius extending from the character or source of the effect. It is always used in combination with a specified distance in metres. Nearby does not necessarily indicate that the distance can be modified by area of effect modifiers.

Your Presence is an area around your character within which certain effects (such as many Auras) are applied. By default this has a 4 metre radius. The size of this area can be modified by Presence Area modifiers, but not by Skill Area modifiers.

Modifiers and stats that provide an effect in presence of certain types of entities such as allies or enemies have a base radius of 4 metres.

The Size of this Area can be modified by Presence Area modifiers but not by Skill Area modifiers.
