Magma Barrier is an persistent buff skill. Whenever you begin to use Raise Shield or Parry, your shield will be briefly infused with magma. When you block a hit during this period, it triggers a magma spray attack that deals fire damage to enemies in front of you and grants an endurance charge.

Skill functions and interactions

Base damage from this skill scales off of the equipped shield's Armour rating. Conditional modifiers that increase the Armour provided by the shield do not contribute towards the skill's damage. Passive skills with the mod X% increased Defences from Equipped Shield does not affect the skill's damage.

This skill can be used with bucklers, but the Magma Spray will not gain any damage scaling due to it not providing any Armour.

Your weapon's local modifiers will not scale the damage of this skill. Damage is classified as off-hand damage regardless of the type of weapon you have equipped in your main hand or if you're unarmed.

Blocking with Magma Barrier during the first 0.5 seconds of its activation will not place Magma Barrier on its internal cooldown, allowing it to be used in quick succession with each successful block that is within the allotted window.[Likely due to a bug]
