Bind Spectre is a minion spell that can turn the corpse of almost any non-unique monster into a permanent minion. Doing so will convert this gem into an account-bound gem called Spectre: <Monster Name> with the same level and quality. This new gem can also be referred to as Summon Spectre.

Skill functions and interactions

Gem mechanics

Summon Spectre has a spirit reservation that varies depending on the power of the monster that was bound. The quality of this gem is changed to (0–10)% reduced Reservation.

If the Bind Spectre gem is corrupted, the process of conversion into the Summon Spectre gem will remove the corrupted tag and any associated corruption outcomes. The one exception to this is a change in gem quality, which is retained despite the corrupted tag being removed. Due to this it is possible to have a Summon Spectre gem that has both 23% Quality and +1 to Level from Corruption.[Likely due to a bug]

Summon Spectre is account-bound; this prevents the item from being traded to or picked up by other players. It can still be stored in your stash and transferred to your other characters.

It is currently not possible to revert Summon Spectre back into Bind Spectre; however, this will be possible in an upcoming patch.[1]
