Blank Rune is a quest item, which can be found in Ogham Village in Act 1.

It drops upon opening the rare Blacksmith's Chest found at Renly's Workshop alongside Renlys Smithing ToolsSmithing ToolsForgework tools belong to Renly and his son., which are needed to unlock the Salvage Bench during Finding the Forge.

The rune itself is not directly needed to progress any quest, but Renly can use it to forge a socketable rune.

Usage

Blank Rune can be given to Renly in Clearfell Encampment in exchange for a rune of our choice.

Choose one from:

• Lesser Desert RuneLesser Desert RuneStack Size: 10Martial Weapon: Adds 4 to 6 Fire Damage
  Armour: +10% to Fire Resistance
  Wand or Staff: Gain 6% of Damage as Extra Fire DamagePlace into an empty Rune Socket in a Weapon or Armour to apply its effect to that item. Once socketed it cannot be retrieved but can be replaced by other socketable items.
• Lesser Glacial RuneLesser Glacial RuneStack Size: 10Martial Weapon: Adds 3 to 5 Cold Damage
  Armour: +10% to Cold Resistance
  Wand or Staff: Gain 6% of Damage as Extra Cold DamagePlace into an empty Rune Socket in a Weapon or Armour to apply its effect to that item. Once socketed it cannot be retrieved but can be replaced by other socketable items.
• Lesser Storm RuneLesser Storm RuneStack Size: 10Martial Weapon: Adds 1 to 10 Lightning Damage
  Armour: +10% to Lightning Resistance
  Wand or Staff: Gain 6% of Damage as Extra Lightning DamagePlace into an empty Rune Socket in a Weapon or Armour to apply its effect to that item. Once socketed it cannot be retrieved but can be replaced by other socketable items.
• Lesser Iron RuneLesser Iron RuneStack Size: 10Martial Weapon: 14% increased Physical Damage
  Armour: 14% increased Armour, Evasion and Energy Shield
  Wand or Staff: 20% increased Spell DamagePlace into an empty Rune Socket in a Weapon or Armour to apply its effect to that item. Once socketed it cannot be retrieved but can be replaced by other socketable items.
