Shield

A shield is an item class of off-hand equipment that counts as both armour and off-hand equipment. They provide base defences based on their attribute alignment and a chance to block. Shields come with a skill that granting the user an active block mechanic.

Types of shields

There are 2 main categories of shields:

• Armoured Shields, which provide Armour or Armour-hybrid defences, and grants the Raise Shield skill
  • "Tower Shield" - Strength - Armour - Shield Bash applies Daze
  • "Targe" - Strength/Dexterity - Armour/Evasion
  • "Crest Shield" - Strength/Intelligence - Armour/Energy Shield
• Bucklers, Dexterity-aligned shields that provide Evasion and grants the Parry skill

Version	Changes
0.3.0	Reduced the number of increased Block Chance modifiers on Shields from 7 to 3. The highest tier modifier now has up to 30% increased Block Chance (previously 81%). These changes do not affect existing items. The Corruption Implicit on Shields is now 10-15% increased Block Chance (previously 30-40%).
