Waystones come in different tiers, with higher tiers meaning higher level monsters to fight.
Waystones can be modified to increase the difficulty and reward of the monster encountered in maps.
Waystones are items that can be activated in the Map Device to access maps on the Atlas.
Crafting
Waystones are craftable items that can naturally have up to 6 modifiers (3 prefixes and 3 suffixes) and can be of normal, magic, and rare rarities. Once the waystone is used in the map device, the modifiers rolled on it are added to the map as area modifiers. Modifiers make maps more difficult and rewarding. The number of portals generated by the waystone decreases as the amount of modifiers increases, down to a minimum of 1.
