Defeating any monster while in this fog adds to a rewards counter, with the culminated rewards being dropped after the fog dissapears.
Simulacrum Splinters can be collected from Delirium Monsters to form a Simulacrum that allows access to a challenging Delirium encounter via the Realmgate.
Magic monsters are able to gain Delirium specific Modifiers while inside the fog.
Rare or Unique monsters in the fog may manifest Delirium Demons. Manifested Delirium Demons inhabit the monster's body to occasionally use Skills of their own.

Version history
Prior to version 0.4.0, it was possible to instill waystones with up to 3 Liquid Emotions, adding an enchantment to a waystone. Maps enchanted this way have a permanent Delirium fog that persist throughout the entire map at a static Deliriousness percentage determined by the combination of Liquid Emotions. When Delirium is added this way, it is not possible to end the Delirium fog. Liquid Emotions cannot be obtained in these kinds of maps. However, Delirium monsters can still be encountered and will drop Simulacrum Splinters.
