in a realmgate.

Layout

Twisted Domain has a long, linear layout with a Breach located near the start of the area. Touching the Breach hand will trigger the Breach to expand with a timer. Killing monsters will add additional time to the timer, with rare monsters contributing more time. The Breach will continue to expand until it either reaches the boss arena or the timer expires. Once the Breach is either completed or failed, the timer will stop and items accumulated from all of the killed Breach monsters in the area will drop.

The final part of this area contains a boss arena containing Xesht, We That Are One.

The difficulty of the Twisted Domain can be altered using the nodes in the breach atlas passive tree. Increasing the difficulty will raise the level of encountered monsters as well as that of Xesht. At higher difficulties, the reward pool from defeating Xesht will be larger, granting the chance to receive items that are not obtainable at lower difficulties such as Controlled Metamorphosis.

0.2.0
  • All Bosses that are affected by Difficulty and Simulacrum can now drop all of their specific unique items at any Difficulty, however rare uniques are even rarer at lower difficulties. This also applies to the drop chances for Reliquary keys from this content.
  • Pinnacle boss content now takes roughly half the amount of time to unlock compared to before. In addition, Pinnacle bosses have been made much easier at Difficulty 0 as well. It's our intention to allow you to face Difficulty 0 of this content much earlier in your endgame progression while still preserving the difficulty of Difficulty 4.
  • Players no longer lose experience from dying in Simulacrum, The Twisted Domain, Olroth's arena inside Logbooks, the Crux of Nothingness, or The Burning Monolith. Players also no longer gain experience from killing monsters in these areas.
0.1.1c
  • Added up to five respawn attempts for the Twisted Domain area, based on the area difficulty. If the Breach Domain is completed but you die during the Xesht, We Who Are One boss fight, you will revive at the entrance to the boss arena. If you die before completing the Breach Domain, you will revive at the start of the domain. Repeated attempts of the domain will result in no experience from monsters.
  • Respawns can only be triggered by the person who put in the Expedition Logbook, Breachstone or An Audience with the King, and everyone in your party will be respawned at the same time.
