The Ezomyte Megaliths

The Phaaryl Megalith was a unique map. It appeared within the forest and grass biomes during the 0.2.x update of the game, Dawn of the Hunt.

Layout

The map has a large diamond-shaped layout with a central boss arena. The player must activate six Runed Monoliths around the perimeter to activate the boss gauntlet.

Mechanics

After the Runed Monoliths are activated, the player must stand on the central rune and wait for it to pulse with lightning before a large beam of light channels down from the skies. Afterwards, 8 waves of random map bosses will spawn, followed by a final double boss wave.

After each boss is defeated, an "Empowered Rune" chest will unlock near the arena, each of which has a near-guaranteed chance to drop a rune.

The Empowered Runes can drop exclusive runes, and defeating the final map boss of the gauntlet will always drop an additional exclusive rune.
