Doryani is an NPC. Once defeating him in Act 3, he joins the player's side. He can be encountered in Act 4, and in Interlude 3 as the weapons vendor. He is also found in the Endgame, serving as a guide for the Atlas.

Functions

In the endgame, Doryani fulfills multiple functions. He takes over The Hooded One's functions as an item identifier and respecialisation provider, for both your character's passive skill tree and the Atlas Passive Tree.

Doryani also sells waystones. His shop can have up to 10 waystones in stock, either tier 1 or one tier below your highest-completed tier (up to a maximum of tier 14 after completing a tier 15 or higher map). His shop restocks when your character gains a level.

The Ruins of Utzaal

Utzaal... my people... they're all long dead. It is one thing to hear it, but... another to see it. The city is nothing but a grave. I can't change their fate, but the Vaal are not entirely gone. Alva -- and her Vaal ancestry -- is proof of that. I will do what I must to protect what remains, and perhaps one day we can rebuild. For that to happen, we need the Weapon. We must travel to the archipelago the Karui call Ngmakanui. If the pieces still exist, that is where they will be found.

Lore

Doryani reveals that the Doryani, Royal Thaumaturge fought in the Stone Citadel is in fact an evil doppelganger of himself that first appeared when he visited the Lake of Kalandra to seek knowledge from Kalandra.
