Guard is a Buff that absorbs damage from Hits, taking the damage before your Life or Energy Shield until depleted.
Guard is a temporary buff that redirects a specified amount of damage from hits.
Mechanics
Guard absorbs all damage from hits until it is depleted, at which point the buff is removed. Guard's damage redirection occurs after damage mitigation.
Guard can be granted through certain modifiers. Guard is granted when the charm or flask that grants it is used, and lasts for the duration of that charm or flask expires or is used again. Guard does not stack; if the Guard gained is greater than the current Guard value, it will overwrite the current value and duration. If the Guard gained is lower, it instead extends the buff of the current Guard buff proportional to the ratio of gained Guard against current Guard.
