The Fractured Lake

The Fractured Lake is a unique map. It appears within the Ocean biome.

Layout

Kalandra's body hanging from a large, withered tree.

This map uses a tileset from Path of Exile's Lake of Kalandra.

This map consists of several interconnected areas made of basalt columns that rise out of the water on approach. Pieces of fragmented glass float on the water, and droplets of water rise up into the sky.

The end of the map contains a large tree and a giant cracked mirror resembling a Mirror of KalandraMirror of KalandraStack Size: 10Creates a Mirrored copy of an itemRight click this item then left click an equipable non-unique item to apply it. Mirrored copies cannot be modified.. Activating the Fragmented Mirror will cause it to shatter. The bloodied, lifeless body of Kalandra can be found hanging upside down from the tree.

Mechanics

The map is considered completed after activating the Fragmented Mirror at the end of the map at the tree. This object contains a random rare item of one of the following exclusive base types:

Dialogue

Upon entering and randomly while traversing the map, Kalandra may say some of the following voicelines:

• Here, mortal, you will not find what you seek...
• Hit a mirror hard enough, and it will shatter...
• Loathe was I to endure the form your plane forced upon me.
• This place will take all that you love, if you tarry...
• I will not endure yet another cycle of Time. I refuse!
• An image traps how we see ourselves. Break the image, break the trap.
• A mirror traps us in an image. No longer.
• There is no more wisdom to be had here, only anger.
• Loathe was I to endure the form your plane forced upon me.
• I will have my freedom...
• Fight all you want, it won't change a thing...
• Did you really think my true form would be so limited?

Upon reaching the Fragmented Mirror, Kalandra says one of the following voicelines:

• Only death can bring new life...
• Break the image, break the prison...

Upon activating the Fragmented Mirror, Kalandra says one of the following voicelines:

• Eat the fruit, but beware the seeds...
• A cracked mirror shows only a fractured image.
• To be locked in Time is to never change.
• This Lake never quites gives you waht you want, does it?
