Scourge of the Skies is a unique monster located in Shrike Island at the Corrupted Nests.
Defeating it is required to complete the quest, Shrike Island. It drops a level 12 
Uncut Spirit GemUncut Spirit GemCreates a Persistent Buff Skill Gem or Level an existing gem to Level #Right Click to engrave a Persistent Buff Skill Gem.
. Progressing further with The Search also requires slaying Scourge of the Skies, since it holds one of the Precursor weapon pieces in its belly.
Encounter
- Peck: Stabs the ground with its beak.
- Beak Swipe: Quickly turns, swiping its beak on the ground directly in front.
- Vomit Spray: Fires a mortar of projectiles forward.
- Spit: Fires three bloody projectiles - once each randomly to the left and right, then directly forward.
- Beak Spiral: Stabs the ground with its beak, creating spirals of damaging spikes on the ground causing Bleeding and Maim.
- Face Smash: Smashes its face on the ground, creating a large pool of physical damage over time.
- Birdstorm: The Scourge roars and flaps its wings, causing a stream of birds to fall from from the sky and explode on hitting the ground, tracking the player
- Summon Plagueling: At around 75% life, the Scourge summons a Plagueling minion, a dog-like monster that uses basic melee strikes. If killed, the Scourge will spawn another Plagueling.
