Benedictus, First Herald of Utopia is a unique monster located in the Excavation at the Precursor Forge.
Defeating him is necessary to progress the quest, The Search.
Encounter
- Ring Maze: Traps the player within two sets of circular stone walls. The exits from each layer will glow orange. If the player does not exit the maze in time, the maze will collapse dealing very high Physical damage.
- Quadruple Wall Maze: Traps the player behind four layers of stone walls. The exits from each layer will glow orange, similar to the Ring Maze. If the player has not passed through all four to exit the maze in time, it will explode for very high Physical damage.
- Stone Throw: Throws a projectile dealing Physical damage.
- Floating Lightning Stones/Lightning Spires: Raises stones into the air, dealing Physical damage on hit, then slams them down into the ground dealing Physical and Lightning damage. These stones will turn into lightning spires that explode upon contact, dealing Lightning damage.
- Pillar Wall Smash: "So long as Divinity disgraces the world... no one is safe. You stand in the way of Hope!" - when reduced to 50% health, slams two massive pillars around the edges of the arena dealing extreme Physical damage and making the arena smaller.
- Lightning Lash: "Heathen's ire!" - Lashes with lightning damage in front of him, ending with a powerful beam dealing high Lightning damage.
- Lightning Donut Explosion: Rises into the air and fills the arena with lightning, preparing an explosion with a safe zone in the center. Anything outside the safe zone will be hit with very high Lightning damage.
