Tawhoas's Test is an optional sidequest in Act 4 in the Halls of the Dead.
It is one of the three additional Tests of Mettle found in the Halls of the Dead, which all function the same as the ones previously found in Eye of Hinekora during 
Trial of the Ancestors and are all started by approaching their respective Hinekora Totem room.
The Rewards of all 3 are Karui Tattoos that offer differing reward choices based on the domain of the respective karui god.
This specific Quest and Test is started by entering Tawhoas's Test within the Halls of the Dead. The 3 Wave Encounter is started immediately and upon completion a 
Blank Tattoo of TawhoaBlank Tattoo of TawhoaThe storm has not struck, but the sky is watching.This Blank Tattoo can be brought to a Totem of Hinekora in Halls of the Dead.
is dropped.
The Blank Tattoo can be turned in at the Hinekora Totem in the same room immediately to choose either the 
Dexterity Tattoo of TawhoaDexterity Tattoo of TawhoaGrants +5 to DexterityTawhoa rewards those who grow.Right-click to apply the Tattoo directly to your body and gain a bonus.
(+5 Dexterity) or the Lightning Tattoo of TawhoaLightning Tattoo of TawhoaGrants +5% to Lightning ResistanceThe forest stands tall against the storm.Right-click to apply the Tattoo directly to your body and gain a bonus. (+5% Lightning Resistance) as permanent reward.
