Abandoned Prison is one of the secondary main story quests in Act 4, where you're travelling to one of the many islands.
The quest is begun by speaking with Makoru and sailing towards Abandoned Prison.
We start the quest by arriving at the Abandoned Prison, which we need to traverse to get to Solitary Confinement.
There we follow the path through the prison cells until we arrive at a High Security Prison Cell.
There, deep within the prison locked away by 3 thick metal doors is the solitary prison cell of the Prisoner, who needs to be slain in order to finish this quest and further progress 
The Search, as the Prisoner holds one of the three weapon pieces.
