Dark Domain is a side area that can occasionally appear from Abyss encounters in area level] 79+ maps. Occasionally after closing a pit, it may instead spawn an entrance to the Dark Domain. It is a boss variant of an Abyssal Depths.
This area has checkpoints, but dying in the Dark Domain will kick you back out to the entrance outside the area and it can no longer be accessed.
At the end of the area, there are several Magic and Rare Abyssal Troves that are locked behind a Rare Abyssal monster with two Abyssal modifiers. The chest can contain a variety of items as well as Abyss-exclusive lineage support gems:
