Desecrated modifier

Desecrated modifiers can be added to items using preserved bone currency. While hidden, desecrated modifiers appear as a line of green abyssal symbols. Taking this item to the Well of Souls in Act 2 will allow this modifier to be revealed, granting a choice of one of three modifiers. While some of these modifiers are basic modifiers, sometimes, an offered modifier may be one that cannot normally roll.

Items with a desecrated modifier, regardless of whether it is hidden or revealed, will have a special icon on the item's name plate.
