Varashta condemned Ruzhan to the ritual of the barya, sentenced to serve as a Djinn.

Barya of Ruzhan is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Disciple of Varashta that grants the player the Ruzhan, the Blazing Sword skill, summoning an invulnerable fire-themed djinn minion that can use strike attacks that inflict exposure and can be commanded to use a damaging fire spell. The djinn can also gain additional command skills by allocated connected passive skills:

• Ruzhan's Trap: creates damaging runes that trigger a fiery tornado spell
• Ruzhan's Reckoning: teleports and deals fire damage in an area, creating a wave of fire
• Ruzhan's Fury: fires two volleys of fire spell projectiles which explode on impact

Barya of Ruzhan and its connected passive skills do not have preceding small passives, therefore only requiring a single passive each to allocate.
