A pinnacle encounter represents the most difficult and rewarding content relating to a given map mechanic. They general feature a difficult boss. All pinnacle encounters can drop exclusive unique items. Completing a pinnacle encounter at certain difficulty thresholds, including for the first time, will grant two atlas passive skill points for their respective atlas skill trees.
