Rootdredge is a unique monster found in Sandswept Marsh in Act 3 at a landmark called Foul Ritual. Rootdredge appears to be a recoloured version of The King in the Mists.
Throughout the fight he will summon zombies of various types. Usually you can ignore them if you have enough damage, but at a certain point in the fight, he will target them, they will briefly flash, and then explode for large amounts of damage.
After his death, he leaves behind a shadowy apparition of himself.
