Grasping Wounds
Ascendancy Notable Passive Skill
25% of Life Loss from Hits is prevented, then that much Life is lost over 4 seconds instead
Grasping Wounds is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Blood Mage that prevents a percentage of the player's Life lost, which is removed over 4 seconds.
Modifiers
The Life loss from prevented damage is not considered damage over time. Life Recoup can offset this damage, effectively functioning as damage reduction against hits. With 25% life recoup, you will recover back the total amount of life loss from Grasping Wounds.
As recoup recovers over 8 seconds by default, at 50% recoup the life loss per second from Grasping Wounds gets negated entirely. With Pliable Flesh, recoup occurs over 6.4 seconds, lowering the amount of recoup required to achieve this effect to 40%.
