Template:Stub/doc

This subpage provides documentation for Template:Stub.
This template is used to indicate that an article is a stub. A stub is generally defined as an article that is very obviously incomplete and could be considered a placeholder.
Usage
This template should be placed at the top of a stub article. The article will be automatically added to Category:Stubs.
It is important to remove this template from articles that are not stubs. An article does not have to be perfect before removing the stub template; it should be removed if the article has most of the following characteristics:
- A lead section that clearly defines the purpose of the article
- An infobox or image
- A "Version history" section
- A navigational template
- Is categorized in at least one category
Do not use this template in articles that have specific content issues that need to be addressed. Instead, consider using one of the following maintenance notice templates:
- {{Cleanup}} – article has quality standards issues that require it to be rewritten
- {{Update}} – article contains out-of-date information

Adaptation is noted for reference and attribution only. This template may differ from the original in function or in usage.
