Sprinting occurs if the player holds the dodge roll button and completes a dodge roll animation.

Mechanics

A Ranger falling over after being hit while sprinting.

Sprinting grants 50% increased movement speed[1]. While sprinting with WASD controls, holding down the WASD-assigned buttons can be used to manually change the direction the character is sprinting in (though they are unable to make sharp turns while sprinting). Otherwise, sprinting will default to following the direction of the mouse cursor relative to the character. There is an option in the settings menu to have the dodge roll keybind toggle sprint instead of requiring it be held down.

Sprinting can be performed indefinitely, but will end if the player uses a skill, releases the dodge roll button, or runs into a wall, obstacle, enemy, or otherwise impassable terrain or object. If sprinting ends from releasing the button or collision, a short stopping animation will occur. This animation can be cancelled using a skill or performing a dodge roll.

Note that colliding with allies will also end sprinting.

If hit by an enemy while sprinting, the character will be knocked down as if heavy stunned.

Players will be unable to sprint if the dodge roll is disabled, such as if the character has BlinkBlinkBuff, Persistent, Spell

  • Introduced to the game.
  • When holding down the dodge roll button, your character will now go into a sprint after they finish the roll. Sprint is available on all character classes, and there is no limitation to how long you can sprint for.
  • The primary purpose of this sprint feature is to make navigating areas faster when out of combat, though if you do take a hit while sprinting, you will fall to the ground.
