Demon Form is a shapeshifting skill granted by the Infernalist ascendancy notable Demonic Possession that allows the player to Shapeshift into a Demon. While transformed, you gain a large bonus to spellcasting, but lose life over time. While transformed, you gain stacks of Demonflame over time, which increases spell damage and life loss over time.

Mechanics

Shapeshifting skills disable both your weapon slots while transformed.

If used with Chaos Inoculation, you will instantly transform back to human form, making the skill unusable with CI.

Each stack of Demonflame applies a minimum of 1 Life loss per second.

Demonflame is life loss, not damage. As a result when taking Mind Over Matter, the loss is not first mitigated by mana. When taking Eternal Youth, the recharge is interrupted. This is because Mind Over Matter specifies that only damage is mitigated by mana (not life loss), while Eternal Youth is based on recharge, a mechanic that is interrupted by any life loss, including damage.
