Grasping Wounds is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Blood Mage that prevents a percentage of the player's Life lost, then deals that back to the player over 4 seconds.
Modifiers
The Life loss from prevented damage is not considered damage over time. Recoup can offset this damage, effectively functioning as damage reduction against hits. At 50% Recoup, the life loss will be completely counteracted.
