Dual wielding refers to the state of wielding a martial weapon in each hand.

Mechanics

Dual-wielding does not provide any inherent stat bonuses.

If both weapons can be used by a skill, the hand used may alternate, or both hands may be used for a combined single damage hit. The specific interaction will be determined by the skill itself. In the case that both hands are used simultaneously, each hand rolls separately and combines their damage into a single hit at the end of calculations, but only one hand needs to be a critical strike for the entire hit to be considered a critical strike.

If one of the equipped weapons is incompatible with the skill's requirements, only the compatible weapon will be used.

It is possible to dual wield two-handed axes, maces, and swords with the Giant's Blood keystone or The Bringer of RainThe Bringer of Rain
Decorated Helm
Armour: 110
Evasion: 99
Requires Level 52, 53 Str, 53 Dex(600-800)% increased Armour and Evasion
+(200-300) to Accuracy Rating
100% increased Critical Hit Chance
(30-60) Life Regeneration per second
Can't use Body Armour
You can wield Two-Handed Axes, Maces, and Swords in one hand
"What lies beneath your feet?!"
"Sacred ground, watered with tears of blood!"
. They can also be dual wielded with their one-handed counterparts.

Certain weapons cannot be dual-wielded, or have restrictions to dual-wielding:

  • Claws can only be dual-wielded (with two claws).
  • Spears and flails cannot be dual-wielded.
  • Other martial weapons can only be dual-wielded with the same item class of martial weapon in both hands. Whether the item is one-handed or two-handed does not matter if the player has Giant's Blood or The Bringer of Rain.
  • Sceptres can be equipped on the off-hand with any other one-handed weapon other than claws or spears, but can only be equipped with a shield, buckler, or focus if equipped on the main hand.
    • Equipping a Sceptre with another weapon does not count as dual-wielding as the sceptre is considered an off hand in this case.
  • A player cannot wield two wands or two sceptres.
