Point of interest

Points of interest are named locations in a campaign area which always spawn in the given area and often include a specific monster, chest, or piece of lore.

Points of interest generally have a checkpoint, and often an additional marker on the map overlay. Approaching a point of interest will cause the location name to briefly appear at the top of the screen.

Points of interest that include a chest with specific drops will only drop them once per character.
