Tangmazu is a god of deception and dreams, likely Azmeri in origin, and brother of Ralakesh. He is noted to be present in and have similar roles in various other cultures and mythologies as well, however; he is known as Tekaru, the Deceiver to the Karui, The Black Crow to the Ezomytes, and The Raven Trickster to the Azmeri and the Druids.
He was imprisoned centuries ago in Journey's End using Karui totems after he was put to sleep by the Beast long before the Vaal Cataclysm, but was eventually freed by the player's character in Act 4 by disgusing himself as Freya Hartlin. However, even while his physical form was trapped, Tangmazu could create a thick fog that could cause hallucinations and madness to any who enter it.
