Halani, the Water Goddess is an NPC found in the Buried Shrines in Act 2 after defeating Azarian, the Forsaken Son.
She asks the player to end her suffering by igniting her with the Everlasting Cinders found at the back of the chamber.
After witnissing her death, she leaves

- Azarian: "You left a child to die. He holds a new Loyalty now."
- The Water Goddess: "I was mortal then... I was weak..."
- Azarian: "Then why did you never come look for me after your ascension?"
- The Water Goddess: "They told me you had died..."
- Azarian: "I did die, after thirty years living among the Faridun. It was a harsh life filled with pain, and I hated every moment of it."
- The Water Goddess: "Can you ever forgive my mistake?"
- Azarian: "No. Save your breath for when my King arrives and lets the Seed feast upon your flesh."
