| While completing [[Act 3]], the time portal can be used freely to go back and forward between the present and the past. [[Portal]]s created in past areas will go to the past Ziggurat Encampment, and from there the Time Portal can be used to get to the present Encampment to speak to NPCs or access the [[well]] or [[waypoint]].

| After [[Act 3]] normal is completed, the Time Portal becomes the entrance to [[Act 1]] [[Cruel]] difficulty. After [[Act 3]] cruel is completed, the Time Portal is deactivated and the [[waypoint]] is moved from the present version of the Encampment to the past.

| In either case, you can access different versions of the town directly by travelling in from other connecting areas in the same time period, with [[The Drowned City]] (present) and [[Utzaal]] (past) being the easiest.
