Embrace the Darkness is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Acolyte of Chayula that removes your Spirit and replaces it with Darkness.

Mechanics

Darkness provides a buffer to both life and energy shield, preventing damage from reducing them while you have spare darkness, but reserving an equivalent amount of darkness for 10 seconds.

Your maximum darkness is 100 plus 8 per character level.

Note that this is not a conversion. Modifiers to spirit have no effect on darkness, and it is not possible to gain spirit in any way with this passive allocated.

Darkness does not reduce the amount of Honour lost during a Trial of the Sekhemas.
