This is a guide on the subject of Map Cheat Sheet.

This guide is meant to give a general layout/type of each map along with notable mob types or encounters.

Abyss

  • Cave map type
  • Medium-width corridors that go in random directions

Augury

  • Indoor temple map with a locked inner sanctum
  • Must pull 3 levers to open the middle of the map to fight rare mobs
  • The 3 levers are in the middle of each side that you did not spawn on
  • You cannot cancel pulling the levers - make sure you kill all mobs around them first

Backwash

  • Forest map type
  • Islands connected with bridges
  • Lots of tree obstacles
  • Boss is Yaota, the Loathsome

Bloodwood

  • Forest map type
  • Fairly linear
  • Long winding corridor
  • Can easily miss rares if you don't check all sides as you go down the corridor

Burial Bog

  • Swamp map type
  • Long winding map with large obstacles along the way
  • Similar to Strand in PoE 1

Crypt

  • Mausoleum map type
  • Long narrow corridors

Mire

  • Swamp map type
  • Thin bridges connecting small islands

Savannah

  • Desert map type
  • Open layout with long brick walls throughout
  • Boss is the desert boss from act 2

Seepage

  • Indoor temple map with long corridors

Steppe

  • Forest/plain map type
  • Open layout in a square

Woodland

  • Forest map type
  • Circular'ish map with lots of tree obstacles
