Chances in excess of 100%
Tooltip
By default, chance-based stats cap at 100% chance for the result to occur. However, some chances can exceed 100%. In this case, the result occurs once for each 100% chance you have, plus a normal percentage chance for it to occur again based on the remaining value.
Overcap chance is a mechanic which allows some chance based events to occur multiple times off a single roll.
Instead of the chance capping at 100%, there is no upper limit to the chance stat. If it does go above 100% it will trigger once plus have a chance of an additional trigger equal to the excess chance. This repeats every 100% chance.
For example, a 240% chance would give two guaranteed occurrences and a 40% chance of a third.
