Deflect

Deflection Rating provides a chance to Deflect damage from Hits, preventing 40% of the damage taken from those Hits and Ailments they inflict. Exact chance to Deflect also depends on the attacker's Accuracy.
Deflection is type of mitigation. It grants a chance to take less damage from a hit by a percentage. Like Evasion, chance to deflect is based on the defender's Deflection Rating against the attacker's Accuracy Rating. Most sources of Deflection Rating scale with the user's Evasion Rating, acting as a supplementary mitigation tool for evasion-based builds.
Mechanics
The formula to calculate deflection chance is as follows:
There is no minimum or maximum Deflect chance.[2]
Unlike Evasion, Deflection will work against boss attacks with a red flash.
